According to Georgia Kids Count, African-American
girls between the ages of 9 and 18 (from low-income families) are a high risk group for teenage pregnancy, juvenile delinquency,
gang-involvement, substance abuse, school drop-out, and other challenges.
SCLC W.O.M.E.N., INC. is committed
to "Bridging The Gap: From Girls to Womanhood" embraving girls 8 to 18 years of age throughout the communities in
the surrounding Atlanta area. Program components include: -
"Sister Pairing"

Growing to Womanhood -
Group Activities, focus
on cultural and historic field trips, spiritual awareness, entrepreneurial skills, etc.

A tutoring program, designed to enhance shool performance and increase the likelihood of completing
school.
